Resilient wedge gate valves, fullway valves (full-way), or sluice valves open by lifting a barrier (gate) out of the way of the flow of liquid, gas, or in some cases, compressed air in piping. A gate valve consists of an actuator (a lever handle, hand wheel, or electric motor), a housing which holds the valve mechanism, and the gate which is a wedge, rectangular, or circular piece of metal. When the gate is raised, liquids can flow through the gate. When closed, the flow stops.
Gate valves are used to shut off the flow rather than regulate it. These valves are used in the fully open or fully closed position.
These types of valves are usually made of stainless steel, cast iron, carbon steel, ductile iron, alloys, brass, and forged steel. We offer wedge-shaped gate valves, valve stems, and rising stem valves with high pressure that can be optimized for a horizontal or vertical space along with resilient seating options. Our gate valves are designed to ease your daily life and allow for fluid regulation.
Multi-purpose bi-directional shutoff gate valves for commercial and industrial applications. Whether you need a flat or wedge style, valves made of brass, bronze or iron, F.W. Webb has you covered.
